WHY ST. JEROME?

What St. Jerome Parents are Saying:

Kourosh and Cristina Langari, parents of Juliette(Kindergarten):

"As parents of a Kindergarten student some of the things that influenced our selection and that we like most about St. Jerome School are: (1) quality of school administration, (2) quality of teaching staff and curriculum, (3) diversity, (4) low teacher turn-over rate, (5) sense of community, (6) good values, and (7) safe physical location.  We have been impressed with Mrs. Korte’s leadership and with the general administration of the school itself.  The stability and professionalism of the office staff speaks for itself.  The school grounds and the buildings are well maintained.  We are also very pleased with the Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Payne, her level of experience and her broad and well-structured academic curriculum facilitates intellectual development in a fun environment.  Finally, the school’s social functions emphasize the concept of school family and impart social and moral values that serve well in life.  We feel that we have made the right choice with Saint Jerome School, and we are looking forward to the next 7 years."

Joanne Asercion, mother of Kellen (7th grade) and Connor, (2nd grade):

"The core value of being responsible for one another is demonstrated in the student family tradition at St. Jerome's.  One child from each grade comes together to form a 'student family'.  Over the years, the family units change, but I am always so proud when I hear my sons say “my fifth grader and I did this today”, or “there is my first grader”.   These kids deeply treasure and identify with their new-found family units, and are very respectful of the tradition.  Students are given the opportunity to interact with others at all levels.  Older students benefit by assuming leadership and mentoring roles, the younger children feel comfortable and welcomed into the greater school community.  This coming together of the diverse family they share is one of the primary reasons students at St. Jerome Catholic School are able to grow into such inclusive, respectful and promising young adults."

Testimonial from Rosemary Kim, mother of Caitlin (7th grade) and Matthew (1st grade):

"My husband and I wanted to teach our children strong Catholic traditions and values and give them a strong academic experience.  We believed that these two things would prepare them to be responsible, intelligent and kind adults.  As a parent of two students, 1st and 7th graders, St. Jerome School has been a wonderful partner in developing our two children.  The best thing I can say about St. Jerome School is that we were so pleased with the development of our first child, we decided to send our second!"

Homer Teng, father of Lawrence (2nd grade):

"There are two things we especially like about St Jerome Catholic School.  First, it is the sense of community among parents and students.   You often see a lot of parents and students helping out at various events and celebrations at the school.  There is a spirit of cooperation and mutual support among them that makes us feel welcomed.  The second thing is the dedication of the faculty and administration to the students.  The teachers and administrators care deeply about the academic progress and the overall development of each student.  They are willing to work with us to challenge our son to do his best every day.  They set a fine example for him to learn the values of respect, responsibility and hard work."
