- Monthly Family Faith Formation Gatherings
- Sunday Liturgy of the Word for Children
Family Faith Formation is our community's response to the busy-ness of life. Parents work late hours; children have homework and extracurricular activities. Family Faith Formation is designed to strengthen the family through monthly gatherings.
"Living the Good News" is our resource text and draws people close to God and each other through shared learning, liturgy, and everyday life. The curriculum used in lessons for Family Faith and First Liturgy follow the three-year cycle of the Sunday scripture readings. Children and adults are invited to meet Jesus week by week as they explore the stories proclaimed at mass. 'Living the Good News" lectionary-based approach is important to us because it brings church and the Sunday School pullout program together.
Today, the church recognizes the family as a child's first and ultimately most important teacher, especially when it comes to faith formation. Join us and learn how easy it is to pass faith to your child while expanding your own, as you build a healthy community for your family.
There are two parts available in the Family Faith Formation Program:
MONTHLY FAMILY FAITH FORMATION GATHERING
- Family activities
- Formation opportunities
- Take home materials
- Communal prayer
- Social time
